Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law
I had been to the bank recently making contracts with the money changers.
It was the typical dark but not oppressive, quiet, but not silent, open, but not large
atmosphere of a western style bank. As banking is a practice made opaque to all but those
who sit behind the wielding end of the counters I could do little, but agree
and hope for the best.
When I went back, claiming my contract, my clerk seemed quietly troubled.
Soon a manager of sorts was summoned and a quiet conference took place.
The manager retreated into the central rotunda of an office that stood a few meteres
behind the service counter. The manager was back with some cardboard pieces
that had rectangular shapes cut from the folds of what seemed to have been a box.
The manager eventually regretfully informed me that the clerk with whom I had previously delt
seems to have allowed a personal obsession to interfere with work.
Thus he showed me my previously constructed contract
which now had been fashioned into some sort of paper collage/origami.
The clerk had apparently decided that bank work had become too boring and
took to adding personal touches to a number of clients' paperwork.
We turned together into a makeshift gallery that had been constructed
on the bank floor with old, weathered lumber, greyed and blackened with age,
soft and rough around the edges. The side boards were set with ample gap, though
a short, rectangular window had been made, more out of necessity due to lack
of properly measured and cut lumber than anything. The window lay right at the edge
of the nearly flat, but slightly inclining low roof/ceiling. In total the gallery
measured little more than three tatami mats, or about two meters in length and less
than that in width. It was quite dark for what was meant to be an art gallery.
In fact there were no displays of artwork to be found at all. Though
this is where the manager brought me, almost as if in league with the errant clerk,
to show me by hand other works of the former employee. I agreed, that the clerk
had shown some promise, talent even, if not discipline.

The multimedia linux box is nearly complete.
With the aide of the Master Control Program, merlin,
the BS webserver is now operational
as is the ability to view and listen to various media.
The master contacted me in a time of peace
and I was able to follow with a clear head.
